I love the seaside in early morning. The gentle lapping of waves, the soft, vibrant colors of sunrise, the squish of sand under my toes, and the intriguing shapes of shells washed up on the beach. This towel and wash cloth set was inspired by memories of quiet mornings by the sea. Knit in durable, soft cotton, the set will be equally suitable for the bath or kitchen.

Pattern is worked flat using basic lace and slipped stitches. Suitable for advanced beginner and intermediate knitters.

This pattern is part of the By the Sea Kitchen/Bath Set and is not available individually. By the Sea pattern set includes this towel, the Sea Oats washcloth as well as the Shell Lace washcloth. It makes a great set for gifts.

The towel is easiest to work from a cone of yarn so you don’t have to worry about joining yarn. One cone is enough yarn for two towels and several washcloths. You can find Peaches & Creme in cones at Hobby Lobby, Wal-mart, A.C. Moore, and Jo-Ann.
