I designed this sock pattern because I wanted to have a feature on the back of my leg. I was influenced by the stories my beautiful grandma used to share with me, of her drawing a line down the back of her leg when stockings were in short supply. Having this line feature to look like stockings was all the rage back then; it gave the eye something to look at and was exciting! I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been to get a straight line! Quite often sock patterns have all the features on the front of the leg, so why not be different. It looks like a simple vanilla sock from the front, but from the back there’s a party going on!

It is written for a 56, 60 & 64 cast on. This pattern also comes as a gift set, with yarn, project and stitch markers on my website. www.bumpycrafts.com
