One of my favourite crochet stitches is the Shell Stitch.

It looks complicated, but it’s very beginner friendly. It gives any project so much texture and can be easily memorized. (perfect for binge watching + crochet)

I’ve wanted to make an extra long scarf. And with this ombre effect, it was the perfect choice. I used 2 cakes to complete this lengthy scarf, perfect for keeping your cozy and warm all season long.

Notes before you begin:

Chain 2 at the beginning of Row 2 represents 1 double crochet

When adding the 2nd cake, fasten off and join new cake at the beginning chain. (the ombre of the cake will line up this way, going from light to dark)
