A shell-edged baby bonnet with curly ties.

This baby bonnet pattern is inspired by vintage bonnets from the 1930s.

I’ve used full written instructions and photos throughout to make the instructions easy to follow for all levels of experience. Note - the pattern is written using US terminology.

You will need:

Yarn - Double Knitting in the UK, Light Worsted in the USA, 8 ply in Australia
Crochet hook - size 8 in the UK/Canada, G-6 in the US, 4mm in Australia
Yarn needle
Scissors
Row counter
Stitch marker
Ruler

The gauge for this pattern is 4 shell stitches and 5 rows per 4 inch square.
