The Sheltering Ridge Beanie is a free crochet pattern on my blog!

Sheltering Ridge Beanie is a crochet puff stitch beanie with a cozy, cobblestone-like texture. With raised puff stitches that sit enclosed like a snow capped ridge of mountains and a ribbed brim finishes the hat.

It’s worked flat in one simple rectangle, then seamed up the back and cinched at the top. There’s no working in the round and no decrease shaping. The puff stitch takes a little practice to find its rhythm, so this pattern is rated intermediate.

This pattern includes:
Full written instructions in US crochet terms
Three adult sizes: Small, Medium, and Large
A special stitch guide for the PO3 puff
Resizing notes
A video stitch tutorial to go with the written pattern
