This beanie is worked from the bottom up to the crown. Begin with simple ribbing and then work the lace chart through to the end. Piece of cake!

Sizes: Actual finished circumference of 12” (16”, 20”, 20”, 24”)/30.5 (40.5, 51, 51, 61) cm to fit Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult, XL Adult), with 0” – 2” /0 – 5 cm negative ease.

Yarn: 50 (75, 100, 125, 150) yards/45 (70, 90, 115, 140) meters of DK weigh yarn.

Needles: Size US 7/4.5 mm circular needles with a 22”/56 cm or 40”/100 cm cable, whichever length is preferred for working in the round, and size US 6/4 mm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge and one size smaller.

Gauge: 18 stitches and 30 rows = 4” by 4”/10 cm by 10 cm square on larger needles in lace pattern.

Notions: 5 closed-ring markers, a tapestry needle, and a party balloon (optional).

Techniques: Knitting in the round and charted lace knitting.
