Time for a cute, tiny, and inquisitive Mouse to keep a big eye on things! But first, the proper attire

This pattern contains only the add-on accessory Deerstalker Hat. It requires the original Mouse Toy pattern.

Materials for this project include: light weight yarn (16 m; 17 ½ yd), hooks (3.00 mm, 4.00 mm), and tapestry needle for assembly.

The 4-page pdf file details instructions for making the Hat and includes a diagram of this piece.

Among the techniques used here are: invisible finish, work in front/back loops, work on right/wrong sides, adjustable (magic) ring, foundation chain, and a couple of special stitches. I have introduced “hybrid” decreases to accommodate shaping along a circular contour. If you happen to know a reference material for these, I would appreciate a quick email (Thank you in advance).

The Mouse in blue coat and turquoise hat, by comparison, is made with a 4.00 mm hook.

Enjoy!
