There are so very many incredible options when knitting with Shetland Lace stitch patterns. Elizabeth Ravenwood gets credit for introducing me to these beauties.

Siew Clark designed “Inner”, a poncho pattern in stockinette and garter stitches. The light bulb went on. This would be a great way to showcase the two very different, yet similar styles of Shetland Lace. She has allowed me to play with her recipe.

Sharon Miller graciously sent Shetland stitch patterns I was missing. It has been so fun to play with them to create this pattern. Thank you very much, ladies!

Part of this capelette/cowl will be knit in stockinette, the other will be knit in garter stitch using the similar Shetland stitch patterns with amazing results. A lace edge will be knitted on in Clue 3.

Beads are optional, but add attention to detail. Have fun!

This pattern is not a beginner pattern, but not terribly difficult either. We are very happy to help and answer questions in the Loft.

Finished Dimensions: The boat style neckline has a circumference of 26 inches. I like it sitting on my shoulders at a diagonal or V-shaped.

The bottom edge has a circumference of 80 inches.

From neckline to bottom edge is 16.5 inches.

Thank you so much for testing this pattern, MinnesotaNancy, triciad19, and sondomn. You are the best!!! And to jscaplen, beader extrodinaire, for bead placement suggestions.

Once you purchase this pattern it is yours. It is not refundable. Shop thoughtfully.
