Shetland Swagger Shawl by Elizabeth Lovick

Shetland Swagger Shawl

This shawl is knitted in the traditional Shetland manner. The edging is worked first, and the stitches for the border are picked up from this. After the 4 borders have been worked, the centre is knitted, working off the stitches from the adjacent borders as you work. When complete, the stitches from the centre are then grafted to those from the fourth border, and the mitred corners are sewn together.
