Ships in the Night is a great big crescent hug of soothing garter stitch, arranged in two opposing Fibonacci number sequences that glide past each other like ships in the night. The shawl is knit from the top down, and finished with Old Shale lace for a scalloped edge. Two coordinating 4 ounce/420 yard skeins of fingering weight yarn make this a most meditative knit…or a multi-tasker’s dream.

Mine blocked to 82” across the top, 21” deep, bouncing back to a little shallower.

Thank you to tech editor Amanda Woodruff, and test knitters Ann Berg and Sarah Peery.
