This pattern is one I adapted to knit plain, stockinette ankle socks for my dear friend, Shireen, after she mentioned that she had no hand knit socks in fingering weight yarn. It is “needle agnostic” and as such, can be knit on DPNS, Magic Loop, or two circs.

Yardage-wise, a single skein of Rhichard Devrieze was quite sufficient to do a pair of socks to fit a ladies size 6, with about 25% of the skein left over. If you are making them much larger, you may need two skeins or a skein of indigodragonfly Merino Nylon Sock which has much more yardage.
