Shmoneh Shweater
Why Shmoneh? I moved to Israel in 2017 and shmoneh is number 8 in Hebrew. And if you look dead center, the cable forms the number 8 in the contrast color. The pattern is knit flat but the cool thing is you seam it as you go, a technique explained in detail in the pattern. You’re not actually knitting in the round, but as with that technique, once you finish knitting the sweater, you only have to stitch up the underarms and weave in the ends. Because you seam as you go, there is a barely noticeable seam up the back.
Neck line shaping is given row by row instructions as well as charts.
