The pattern is knit flat but the cool thing is you seam it as you go, a technique explained in detail in the pattern. You’re not actually knitting in the round, but as with that technique, once you finish knitting the sweater, you only have to stitch up the underarms and weave in the ends. Because you seam as you go, there is a barely noticeable seam up the back.
