Congratulations to BinaBKnits - The winner of the Lollipop Yarn in the Carol the Bells coloway on the Tradition base!

Want to have your cake and eat it too? With Shoe Candy (eye candy for your shoes), you can add something sweet to your life without any extra calories! This sweet pattern highlights the Eye Candy Eyelet stitch that plays so nicely with a splash of color. Shoe Candy also includes instructions for four sizes, is knitted top down cuff to toe, offers an optional scalloped rib, an optional fitted arch and both a picture and video tutorial to provide visual instructions for the Eye Candy Eyelet stitch.

Because a good many stitches are decreased in two rows of the Eye Candy Eyelet pattern, using a larger needle on the cuff and then switching to smaller needles when you begin the heel flap is recommended. Please try your socks on as you make them to ensure they fit. If you prefer to use only one needle size instead of two, another idea would be to knit the next size larger than your usual sock.

Materials required: 350-400 yards of fingering weight yarn, size US 1.5 and US 2 needles (DPNs or circular needles)

Although the pattern is written to knit cuff down to toe, a toe up knitter could easily convert this pattern to knit toe up.

Gauge note: Gauge listed is shown as 10 sts/inch. This gauge is achieved as so many stitches are decreased in some of the pattern rounds.
