Inspired by the sea yet again, Shoreline is my latest shawl design. Shoreline represents the rhythmic high and low tides of the ocean. The consistency of this daily pattern is comfort to many beach lovers like myself. And the best part — picking up seashells left for us as small gift from the sea. I think the slub yarn looks like there are “shells” in the “sand” — do you see it? Using the same colorway, Rumor, in two different fingering weight bases (2 skeins of stellina and 1 of slub), this asymmetrical shawl (an irregular polygon for the geometry nerds!) features 5 points with various rates of increases & decreases (total wingspan is 75”). The easy stockinette and garter stitch patterns in this project make it the perfect travel knit to pick up and put down at your leisure.
