This headband is a good project to practice short rows without too much commitment. The finished headband doesn’t slip out and it is a quick knit, so it’s easy to make one in every color. There are basic instructions for short rows in the pattern. The pattern is written for sport weight yarn, but I’ve had good results with yarn up to a light worsted weight.

please note
If you are a knitter who is well seasoned in knitting short rows, you are likely to think there is too much information in this pattern. You have been warned.
