A smart-looking, generously shaped, outdoor weight jacket with contrasting trim and seed stitch detailing on the sleeves. This jacket has a drop-shoulder and the pattern includes 2 lengths - shortie or a bit more which adds 4 inches in length.

An important consideration: Shortie’s tweed-like apprearance is created by using 2-ply of color with 1-ply of white. In order to do this, the 6-ply ball needs to be separated. The pattern describes how to do this… it is possible! The contrasting color is carried up the edge of the buttonband as a purl stitch to give the nubby appearance.

If you have Buffalo brand yarn in your stash, this pattern is a great way to use it up. Kits are available - 1 in stock in size small in a white/blue prairie wool.
