Showy Garter Dish Cloths
These dish cloths are part of an e-book that introduces Showy Garter. The Showy Decrease is a way to add raised lines to your knitting. Our patterns have used the Showy Decrease in a variety of ways; with stockinette, for super deep ribs and pretty hat tops and now on garter where it really stands out.

The Intro to Showy Garter Decrease eBook
This eBook is so much more than just a few patterns. Since I’d love for you to understand and incorporate these ideas into other projects, the eBook includes several pages of tutorials too. The patterns start with a series of dish cloths that you can make and use (I am for the first time) or just use as swatches. That’s followed by 3 scarf patterns starting with the Rubicon Bay scarf we are also announcing today.

21-Page eBook Features:

  • The Showy Decrease on Garter stitch
  • The Woven Cast On and Knotted Bind Off
  • Tutorials for vertical and diagonal Showy Decrease lines
  • 4 solid dish cloths, 3 more dish cloth / towel ideas with multi-colors
  • Rubicon Scarf pattern (last photo)
  • 2 more scarf patterns in the next two weeks.

The Dish Cloths
- There are 4 solid patterns that act as tutorials on how to work the Showy Decrease (it is really easy). These approximately 7” square have simple cast on and bind offs and use 25g each. We knit them with Tahki Stacey Charles Cotton Classic.

  • Knit Picks Dishie was used in 3 colors to knit 2 more striped dish cloths and a larger dish towel. These have bold edges knit with 2-strands of yarn and are also meant to give you some ideas for knitting scarves in similar stripe patterns. These dish cloths use about 30g each.

There is a lot more information about the eBook in the series of 5 blog posts that are rolling out over the next two weeks.
