There is still snow outside but I felt like summer knitting. So I whipped up this cowl made from just 100g of a cotton/linen blend.
The cable floats on a panel of dropped stitches and the garter stitch gives it some structure and makes for easy knitting.
I wanted a destroyed look that still had some symmetry. Not too dense because it is a summer cowl but a sturdy panel that would keep the dropped stitches from collapsing. Not too pretty so you don´t get mugged for it when the zombie apocalypse has started.

This is a reversible cowl that calls for a stiff yarn like a cotton/silk/linen blend. Recycled cotton yarn might work well, too.
Yarn shown: Wolle Rödel „Lino Royal“ 40% linen, 28% cotton, 32% viscose. 80m / 50g
