Siam the Thai Cat is Elegant, loyal and curious. Did you know that Siamese cats originated from Thailand (previously known as Siam)?

A Siamese cat seemed the perfect addition to my #amigurumiworldfriends collection. A little bit different and a little bit unique. I hope you love Siam’s glowing blue eyes and her flowing sabai as much as I do.

The yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of the finished item. My Siam the Thai Cat is approximately 24cm tall (9 ½ inches).

Difficulty: Easy, US terminology

 inc = single crochet increase (2 sc in one stitch)
 dec = decrease (sc 2 together)

Notes:
 A yarn with no stretch is best for amigurumi, I ordinarily use cotton or cotton blend.
 Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round (unless it says otherwise).
 I crochet loosely and use a 2.75mm hook with 8ply yarn. Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
 To change colours, yarn over on the stitch prior with the new colour to ensure you have that colour on the hook for the stitch you need it for.
 For this pattern, the following yarns were used:
o BEIGE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 408 Vanilla Cream
o BROWN = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 411 Coffee Bean
o BLUE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 433 Washed Teal
o BLACK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 402 Pure Black
o PINK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 454 Blush Pink
 I have used crocheted the eyes for this pattern but you may use safety eyes or embroidery. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
