My love, you’ve been waiting for these words for so long. I finally decided to write them to you. I’m confused and extremely worried. But I can no longer carry these words with me like a heavy burden. I’ve admired you for a long, long time yet never opened myself. I dream again and again of looking at you and drowning in you. I dream of touching you, breathing you. There are no words I can use to convey my feelings to you. It’s probably not love anymore, it’s something much, much more. When I look at you, my heart is ready to burst out of my chest, I want to cling to you and never let go. I want to merge with you, be a part of you. To feel what you feel, to experience your happiness and your pain. Share them with me. The rustle of the wind in your forests, the sound of water that washing your shores. Animals and plants that you give life and home. How grateful I am to you for all of this. And forgive us for sometimes being so rude to you, so thoughtless. For not always being able to understand you. We will never be able to pay for the love that you give us. My love for you will be with me forever, and is getting stronger and stronger every day. You’re so beautiful. I love you so much, Siberia.

The pattern knit very easily and quickly. A sweater can be knitted in two or three days (some girls in my test knitted it in one day). Perfect for you if this is your first lopapeysa or first jacquard.

The product was tested in Instagram, my group of testers. All works of my testers are placed (with their permission) on this page. According to the pattern, more than a fifty products are already knited. Most of them can be viewed in Instagram under the tag #siberian_yoke. On this hashtags you can find interesting color combinations. And use hashtag #siberian_yoke to share your beautiful Siberian yoke projects, and to be inspired by what others have knit. :)

More about the pattern:

Jumper is worked top down seamlessly in the round in one piece. Start from collar worked in Stockinette stitch. Then continue in stranded colorwork for round yoke shaping back neck with short rows. Divide in 4 pieces after back neck shaping, and work body and sleeves separately in the round in Stockinette stitch.

  1. The pattern contains a textual description of all product fragments except yoke. The yoke has a description in form of the scheme and symbols, the principles of their application, as well as the techniques that will make the yoke neat. Each size has a separate scheme. Cope even quite beginners (it’s tested). In addition, the translation of pattern into English is very detailed and accurate. (All dimensions are given in Imperial measurement system and metric system too)
  2. In the text of the pattern there are links to my videos on YouTube (audio is in Russian, but everything is clear without audio), they describe in detail the difficult moments in the work.
  3. Lopapeysa is worked seamlessly in the round in one piece from the top down. First, the circular yoke is worked in stranded knitting, after which sleeves and body of the garment are worked in stockinette stitch.
  4. The product have positive ease as it should be lopapeysa. Warm, and not at all prickly.
