SideStepped is a three-color shawl that incorporates a lovely mosaic pattern. It is begun as a typical top-down triangle, then solid color ‘sidestep’ short-row sections are added to each side.

Instructions for the mosaic sections are charted only. You should already be familiar with wrapping stitches and picking up the wraps while binding off. Also, a row counter is very useful for working this shawl.

This pattern is part of a new ebook collection, The SideKick Trio. The ebook includes three shawls that begin with typical triangle construction, and end with a ‘kick’ on one or both sides. The other two patterns in the ebook are SideKicked and SideSwiped.
