The SIGLÓ Cowl owes its name to the fishing village of Siglufjörður (Sigló for short) in northern Iceland. Due to its location deep within the fjord, the sun disappears behind the mountains there every year from mid-November until the end of January and is not visible. This cozy cowl was created there during a knitting weekend on the first weekend of February and proudly carries the name of the town. It is wonderfully soft and cozy while being very easy to knit. It is worked in the round using a two-color stranded pattern.

The cowl complements all your outfits and keeps your neck warm and snug.

Yarn Choice and Yardage
You can use virtually any yarn that matches a gauge of approx. 22 stitches over 10 cm (4 in).

We recommend, for example, Cool Wool Big by Lana Grossa, Drops Merino Extra Fine, Sandnes Smart, or Lang 120.
You will need approx. 50 g per color (Color 1, 2, and 3).

The gauge for this cowl is 22 stitches over 10 cm (4 in). For me, this corresponds to needle size 4.5 mm / US 7.

Der SIGLÓ-Kragen verdankt seinem Namen dem Fischerdorf Siglufjörður (kurz Sigló) im Norden Islands. Durch seine Lage tief im Fjord verschwindet die Sonne dort jedes Jahr von Mitte November bis Ende Januar hinter den Bergen und ist nicht zu sehen. Dieser kuschelige Kragen ist dort bei einem Strickwochenende am ersten Februarwochenende entstanden und trägt den Namen der Stadt mit Stolz. Er ist wunderbar kuschelig und dabei ganz einfach zu arbeiten. Er wird in Runden mit zweifarbigem Einstrickmuster gestrickt.

Der Kragen ergänzt all eure Outfits und sorgt für wohlige Wärme im Halsbereich.
