The first Spring flowers emerging in late winter are such a precious sight, I wanted to create a joyful celebration of them.
The hat itself is a simple beanie knitted in the round in dark Green double knitting yarn.
The flowers are embroidered using scraps of 4ply yarn. No experience in embroidery is needed. I’ve used 3 very simple stitches and the pattern includes a traceable plan of where each flower goes. As Nature includes numerous asymmetries and imperfections, I felt that the embroidery could too.
