This pattern originated from an urge to get rid of leftover yarn in different blue colours (hand-dyed by my evil stepmother). I think the inspiration for the pattern came from a sweater worn by my grandfather. He probably bought the sweater in the sixties.

Any left-over yarns in any combination can be used.
