Silent Lines is an absolutely simple and elegant basic piece that relies entirely on the quality of your yarn and its loose drape. The design is intentionally kept minimalistic: it is worked in uncomplicated stockinette stitch, creating a wonderfully clear, calm stitch pattern – perfect for precious summer yarns like merino-silk or linen blends.

The top is worked seamlessly top-down, allowing you to easily adjust the length as you knit. Clean i-cord edges along the necklines and trims provide a neat, professional finish, perfectly rounding off the elegant, understated look. A timeless favorite piece that is highly versatile and simply relaxing to knit.

Choosing the right size:
The Silent Lines Top is designed with approximately 6 cm 2.4 in of positive ease at the bust.

Example: If your bust circumference is 93 cm 36.6 in, choose size M. Because 99 cm 39 inm 36.6 in + 6 cm 2.4 in) is closest to a size M with 98 cm 38.6 in.

Attention! To achieve a well-fitting top, you must match the gauge exactly. Choose the needle size required to get gauge. Options for adjustments regarding row deviations will be provided throughout the pattern. The rows should be between 31 and 45. Please note that this will affect the required yarn yardage.

Or any other yarn that achieves the required gauge. Please note that your choice of yarn will heavily influence the final result. While Silky Merino provides wonderful elasticity and bounce due to its wool content, Tynn Line creates a more inelastic, rigid fabric. On the plus side, Tynn Line is wonderfully airy and even more comfortable to wear in hot summer weather.

Needles

Please choose the needle size required to achieve the gauge. I tend to knit slightly loose.

1 circular needle: 3.00 mm US 2.5m 32 in or 100 cm 40 in depending on bust circumference for the body)

1 circular needle: 2.5 mm US 1.5m 16 in or 60 cm 24 in for the armhole and neckline, and 80 cm 32 in or 100 cm 40 in depending on bust circumference for the body)

Silent Lines ist ein absolut schlichtes und elegantes Basic-Teil, das komplett von der Qualität deines Garns und dem lockeren Fall lebt. Das Design ist ganz bewusst minimalistisch gehalten: Gestrickt wird unkompliziert glatt rechts, wodurch ein wunderbar klares, ruhiges Maschenbild entsteht – perfekt für edle Sommergarne wie Merino-Seide oder Leinen-Mischungen.

Das Top wird nahtlos von oben nach unten (Top-Down) gestrickt, sodass du die Länge beim Arbeiten ganz einfach anpassen kannst. Cleane I-Cord-Kanten an den Ausschnitten und Abschlüssen sorgen für ein sauberes, professionelles Finish und runden den edlen, unaufgeregten Look perfekt ab. Ein zeitloses Lieblingsteil, das sich super kombinieren lässt und einfach entspannt zu stricken ist.

Auswahl der richtigen Größe:
Das Silent Lines Top wurde mit einem positiven Bewegungsspielraum an der Brust von ca. 6 cm entworfen.

Beispiel: Du hast einen Brustumfang von 93 cm, dann wähle Größe M. Denn 99 cm (93 cm + 6 cm) kommt einer Größe M mit 98 cm am Nächsten.

Maschenprobe

Achtung! Um ein gut sitzendes Top zu erhalten, muss die Maschenprobe exakt getroffen werden. Wähle die Nadelstärke, mit der du die Maschenprobe triffst. Für Abweichungen in den Reihen gibt es im Laufe der Anleitung Anpassungsmöglichkeiten. Die Reihen sollten zwischen 31 und 45 liegen. Bitte beachte, dass dies die benötigte Garnmenge beeinflusst.

Oder jedes andere Garn, mit dem die Maschenprobe getroffen wird. Bitte beachte, dass die Garnwahl das Endergebnis stark beeinflussen wird. Während Silky Merino durch den Wollanteil für ein wunderbar elastisches Maschenbild sorgt, ergibt Tynn Line ein eher unnachgiebiges, unelastisches Gewebe. Dafür ist Tynn Line aber herrlich luftig und noch angenehmer bei heißen Sommertemperaturen.

Nadeln

Bitte wähle die Nadelstärke, mit der du die Maschenprobe erreichst. Ich stricke etwas lockerer.
