The pattern for Silk Flowers covers three sizes of scarves knitted in naturally dyed silk merino dyed for assigned pooling from Hesselstrik.

The scarf is knitted from side to side in garter stitch with straight edges and randomly spaced flowers due to the colors in the yarn. This is a great project to familiarize yourself with the technique for assigned pooling..

Special for this pattern is the use of Assia Brill’s distitch to create sharp edges. And in order to keep these edges clean, flowers are never knitted in the selvedge stitches.
