I can’t seem to ever have enough big cozy cowls in my life, so I naturally had to make yet another one. I wanted this to be a piece that could give some gratification more quickly, hence the chunky yarn and larger needle size. I also wanted it to be a piece that would be possible to work on while socializing. I like having my knits be interesting to work on, but I don’t always want to sequester myself while I work on them. The textured pattern repeat is easy to remember each round, just make sure you’re starting and ending with the right numbers. Lastly, I intentionally gave this cowl almost a touch of “negative ease” because the thing I dislike with double wrap cowls is when they stretch out too far and lose some of the warmth factor they provide when closer around your neck. So trust that after a wear or two your cowl will have a lovely cozy fit.
