DETAILS
At first glance the asymmetrical triangle-shaped Silver Rose seems like a regular stripe-patterned shawl. The trick of the shawl is that the shape of it is highlighted with stripes on the edge, that taper towards the corner. The longitudinal stripes, that fit beautifully on the shoulders, give the accessory a lovely and versatile base.

The shawl is made up of stocking and garter stitch, which are easy and relaxing to knit. The garter stitch portions bring out beautifully the stripes from stocking stitch.

The shawl is started by first knitting the I-cord edge of one side, from which stitches are picked up , growing the size of the shawl. The shawl gets its round shape from decreases and short rows. The edge of the shawl is finished off with a I-cord bind off.
