This jumper is knitted from the top down in one piece. Stitches are left on waste yarn for the sleeves, which are worked after the body has been finished. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front band for the button bands. It features a simple eyelet detail on the yoke and two front pockets. The body is worked flat - you can use very long straight needles if you prefer, but we recommend circulars as it will be easier for most knitters to accommodate the number of stitches.

This pattern features in Issue 87 of Knit Now, which is on sale from 19th April in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK. Find your nearest UK stockist here. Copies can also be ordered from MoreMags or if you prefer, digital editions are available via PocketMags.
