Size 1(2): approx. 46-48 (50-52) cm / 18 -19 (19.75 - 20.5 in)
Sample size:: 2
Band’s width: 8,5(9,5) cm /3.5(3.75) in
Ear length (adjustable): 18 cm /7in
Yarn:
Main colour (for the light beige sample): Novita Merino 4ply (100% merino) (618) särkkä - 50(50) g / 250m / 273 yards
Contrast colour: Some left-overs of Novita Viola (010) natural white (or any other fingering weight yarn of contrast colour)

Note: you may also use mohair, boucle, blushed alpaca or other fluffy yarn for the inner part of the ears to raise the cuteness level of the band :)
However, I recommend more stretchy merino or merino blend yarn for the actual band for better fit. If you want to use another yarn, consider adjusting the elastic band or elastic thread inside of the band.

Needles and notions:
2.5 mm (US 1.5) sock (double pointed) needles or long lace circular needles in case you work in Magic Loop technique. Adjust the needle size according to the gauge if necessarily.
Gauge:
30 sts = 10 cm / 4in.

The pattern has written instructions and few short video-tutorials on making the headband’s knot, kitchener stitch, seaming up ears.
