The Simple Balaclava is knit entirely in stockinette stitch. It is a unisex pattern for adults, with just one size, although there is flexibility with the length of the neck.

This balaclava is versatile and perfect for cold weather. You can pull the top down and wear it as a cowl or roll it up and wear it as a beanie.

You need US 8 (5.00 mm) 16” circular needles and US 8 (5.00 mm) double points.

I used Cascade 220 because it’s my favorite yarn, but you could use any worsted weight wool that isn’t too scratchy.

Be sure to block it at the end so the bottom edge stays flat.
