Simple brioche cowl, sideways
Brioche is one of my favorite stitches. I particularly like its “squishiness” and “comfy” aspect, for a rather light fabric.
This cowl like my other pattern Simple brioche scarf, uses a “knit stich only” version of brioche, knitted flat with no yarn overs.
Gauge is unimportant.
You just use your favorite yarn+needles combination.
You can use any thickness of yarn you want, just adjust the stitch count.
Repeat this row until you’ve reach the length you want.
My standard is 60-65 cm for a “simple tube” cowl, and 130 cm for a “twice around my neck” cowl.
For the cowl in the picture, I cast on 44 sts on 5mm needles.
I combined 2 fingering yarns, a self-striping yarn for color and an “short eyelash” yarn for softness.
