A simple pattern to knit hats with and without turn a up brim. It’s easy, quick and adaptable.

Finished Sizes:
Adult fits a head up to 56cm comfortably.
Adult Large fits a head up to 59cm comfortably.
Adult XL fits a head up to 62cm comfortably.

Skills needed:
Casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, knitting two stitches together and knitting in the round.

Materials Required.
5mm and 5.5mm 40cm (50cm, 50cm) circulars needles and 5.5mm DPNs, or sizes needed to obtain gauge.
80m (100m, 120m) chunky yarn for beanie.
100m (125m, 150m) chunky yarn for turn up brim hat.
Darning needle to sew in ends.
Stitch marker to mark the beginning/end of round (optional).

Notes
The hats are knit in the round from the bottom up.
The pattern is written in a line by line format.
I used the cable cast on but any any cast on with some stretch works.
The yardage is based on the hats and beanies I knit. We all know not all chunky yarns are the the same so if you find you use considerably less or more please let me know the yarn you used and the quantity and I will add the information to this page and the pattern.
