This is a beginner-friendly design, perfect for learning simple increase and decrease stitches. It’s worked flat in garter stitch, with one increase or decrease per row.

The size is fully adjustable, but the suggested size produces a 6-inch square with approximately 25g of yarn. With a 100g ball of Dishie, that’s up to four washcloths, and plenty of knitting practice!

For absolute beginners, I suggest sticking to solid color yarn, as color variegation can make it more challenging to read your stitches.
