My first original design knit shawl!

Let me pop in here—it’s been 5 years (23 oct 24 today) and I think there should be a disclaimer: the top edge as pictured where I hold it above my head is not stretchy. If you want stretchy on all sides—the other two edges already are—you’ll have to alter the pattern. I imagine replacing all RS kfb with k yo and WS kfb with yo k, and maybe starting each WS with a purl—that might give it more give, but I still have not tested it. Sorry to anyone disappointed with that aspect of it after taking the time to make it. I’ve grown to loathe it myself. My next shawl will be better but who knows when that will be. It’s a simple 2 row repeat with no purling. If you know how to k, k2tog, yo, & kfb, you can make this. I provide instructions for the specific bind-off that I used (which incorporates elements of ssk and k2tog tbl) but you can do any stretchy bind-off you want.

Oh, and it’s technically knitted lace. It’s not a total show-stopper by any means, but it’s also not going to have you ripping your hair out, lol.
