This pattern/guide was originally made for a community event, and I thought why not share it here too!
It has instructions on how to make a basic double crochet hat and includes how to custom size it for anyone, as well as a chart showing basic sizes.
This is a good place to start learning how to make hats and how to make them fit!

The pattern is just 2 pages long, so that it can be one sheet of paper (print double sided!)

It does use a magic circle, but you can also do the ch2 method. And then the stitches used are dc, sc, and sl.

You can do so much with this pattern> once you have the basics down try adding new stitches and textures after the increasing is done!
