The same basic template is used for all three stockings, but with three different stitch patterns for the leg and foot. Feel free to substitute your own favorite stitch pattern, as long as it divides evenly into 72 stitches.

Each stocking begins with an i-cord that forms the top edge and the hanging loop. Stitches are then picked up along the i-cord and worked downward to create the stocking. A short-row heel and a star toe give the finished product a simple look that won’t distract from your chosen stitch pattern.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Foot circumference = 12in/30cm
Foot length = 8in/20cm, easily adjusted
Leg length = 12in/30cm, easily adjusted

180-230yds/165-210m of aran weight yarn per stocking
