A Hug.
Isn’t that something we all need right now?
2020 hasn’t been an easy year for anyone and as a family we have experience some very deep losses.

The name for this cardigan has come from necessity of having close friends and family surrounding us and how the simple act of a hug can make all the difference in the world.

We are so very excited to release this cardi that has a very simple bottom up construction and is knit in such a way that you can use as many or few colors as you want! Whether you bust your stash/scraps or purchase new yarn, you will fall in love with this cozy squishy hug of a cardi!!
This would be a great pattern for a beginner sweater knitter!!

2 of the Simple Hug Cardi’s pictured were knit holding DK and lace weight mohair together on an 8mm needle to give an amazingly drapey soft fabric! However, we have included instructions at the end of the pattern to help you calculate the size to knit if you want to use a different combination of yarns!! Katie is wearing one that was knit with DK cotton without the mohair and it’s FANTASTIC!!

You will need:
Size 6.5mm (US 10.5mm) and Size 8mm (US11)

550-1450 yds DK
500-1400 yds Mohair

Pattern is written in 10 different sizes ranging from 27-66” bust

We can’t wait to see what you come up with for this cardi! Our testers had some amazing ideas and really got creative with their stripes, sleeve cuffs and length!!
