Almost a forever ago, I was a small child and my older brother had to get me a Christmas gift. He got me a huge, ridiculous knit Christmas stocking – which I loved and was so excited to see every year. As an adult, that magic hasn’t been lost on me; I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to bless several people with custom, hand knit stockings for themselves and their children, and now you can too.

This is a fast, easy knit and will take you less than a full skein in most cases. There is no particular gauge, as it’s really a matter of personal preference. There are two charts included, but this pattern also works as a recipe and allows for an almost endless amount of possibilities for customizing it for the people you love.
