This easy scarf is a good second (or even first) lace-knitting project. The borders at each end are worked in an extremely simple traditional Shetland pattern called Razor Shell. (You will have it memorized before you know it, which is useful, because some very nice scarves have been worked in this stitch alone.) In the center section one repeat of the Razor Shell pattern continues along each edge while a string of basic eyelet diamonds is worked up the middle.
