This is a lovely little lavender pillow that is very easy to construct. You don’t need much to make it so it’s a good place to start if you want to make something quick and satisfying.

Materials needed:

• 1 ball DK yarn - a soft cotton yarn is recommended but any yarn will do
• size 3.75mm knitting needles - slightly smaller needles may be used but larger needles run the risk of allowing gaps between stitches and thus allowing the inside bits to show
• about 4oz dried lavender buds
• a small fabric bag to fit inside the knitted piece, to put the lavender in. You will need this to ensure the lavender buds don’t poke through the knitting
• pins and blocking board to block the pieces. You can use small sewing pins and a piece of cardboard - nothing fancy needed!
