This pattern uses worsted weight yarn versus fingering weight because I needed to find a way to motivate myself to make socks that wouldn’t take forever! These socks knit up relatively quick, and one of the trickiest things other than decreases of the heel and toe, would be picking up stitches for the heel! Here is for a cozy, slipper like sock!

Ingredients needed to produce 2 socks:
• At least 220 yards of worsted weight yarn (can be full skeins or partial skeins, 2 or 3 colors), and I recommend choosing a yarn with some nylon to make the socks sturdy.
• Scrap yarn for knitting in an afterthought heel
• 32 or 36-inch US 5 circular needles
• Scissors and darning needle
• Row counter (or a method to keep track of row count)
• Pen and paper to keep track of where you are/left off
• And of course, the ability to knit and read patterns!

I would consider this pattern to be intermediate!
