Simple Single Crochet Hat
A free version is also available.
The Simple Single Crochet Hat is worked from the top down in continuous rounds using Worsted Weight yarn.
Single crochet creates a firm fabric that holds its shape well, making this hat a good base for adding ears, appliqués, and other embellishments. The smaller spaces between the stitches also help keep cold air out on windy days.
The pattern includes 11 sizes from preemie through adult large, with finished hat circumference and height measurements for each size.
Sizes: Preemie, Newborn, 0–3 Months, 3–6 Months, 6–12 Months, 1–3 Years, 3–5 Years, 6–10 Years, Adult Small (Teen), Adult Medium and Adult Large
Yarn: Red Heart With Love, Worsted Weight Yarn [4]
Hook: 6 mm (J), or size needed to reach gauge
Gauge: Approximately 2.75 sc and 3.75 rows per inch (2.5 cm)
The hats are designed with approximately 2 inches (5 cm) of negative ease.
This pattern is available for free on my blog, which is monetized by ads. If you prefer an ad-free version of the pattern, it is available to purchase right here on Ravelry.
