Simple Splendor
This pattern is also available in hard copy (by November 1, 2010) from the Beehive Woolshop in Victoria BC.
Description
Just enough sparkle to catch the light without being too much. Wear it every day or just for extra special occasions.
When the yarn came into the shop the question was: What is it going to be when it’s knit up? There were two requirements: It could use only one of each skein and it had to be very, very simple.
This pattern lives up to its name. It makes a very quick last minute gift. All in garter stitch it is simple enough for even the most timid beginner to accomplish with confidence. Those with more experience will enjoy how quickly their new accessory goes together with so little effort.
The shape of a very shallow triangle makes wrapping multiple times for a layered, luxurious look easy. You’re wrapped in luxury without being drowned in it.
Scarf is worked from triangle point up and the stitches for the ruffle is picked up after the body is completed.
