I started creating these blankets six years ago because I love the patterns created in quilt designs, but I am not a quilter. I started to look for crochet patterns that achieved the same result but ran into difficulties finding one within my skill level. I wanted to create a pattern that while simple to crochet could give you the same complexity found in quilt designs. Through trial and error I have created a method that allows me to do just that. I can now have the creativity of a quilter while enjoying my chosen medium of crochet.
