The ‘Simple Summer Shawl’ is an asymmetrical triangle shawl pattern, designed with warmer climates in mind, or the summer season!

As the name states, it is a simple pattern, knit using eyelets to keep the shawl nice and airy. Originally designed with handspun yarn in mind, however, this shawl would look equally as nice in hand-dyed/variegated yarn, or even a solid colour!

The pattern is easily customizable for different weights of yarn from Light Fingering weight to Worsted/Aran weight, knit at a loose gauge for the yarn weight.

Suggestions for yarn weight and needle size:

Light Fingering/Fingering: 4mm (US6)
Sport: 4.5mm (US7)
DK: 5mm (US8)
Worsted: 5.5mm (US9)
Heavy Worsted/Aran: 6mm (US10)
