This simple tunic has 3 neck and 3 edge options - so who can make just one! This garment is very form fitting and designed with no ease or slightly negative ease – in other words, if your chest circumference is 36” at your widest point, you want to choose a 36” finished chest measurement. If you are a 39”, go with the 38” instead of the 40” (thus 1” of negative ease). Since sizing is so important, swatching is critical! The length is easily adjusted by
adding/subtracting from the length between the decrease and increase section in the main body, or simply make your bottom border edge longer or shorter, so make sure to check your desired length before starting!

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: see schematics – finished chest measurement – 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46)”, finished length – 32 (32, 33, 33, 34, 34, 35, 35)”.

GAUGE: 16 sts and 22 rows per 4” in stockinette st

MATERIALS USED: US#9 (5.5mm) needle (or size needed to obtain gauge), US#8 (5mm) 16” circular needle (or a 16” circular one needle size smaller than needle used to obtain gauge) (please note – if doing the seed st border at the bottom, I recommend using a needle one size smaller than the needle used to obtain the gauge for the lower border as well), 620 (700, 750, 820, 920, 1000, 1050, 1140) yds of Aran weight yarn (please note: if doing the cowl neck, add an additional 100 yds), stitch holders and ring markers.
