This is a tunisian hook, in size 7mm, using ww yarn. I used Redheart Super Saver, but you can use any ww yarn. I really liked how the variegated showed up in the tunisian stitch.

The tunisian stitch is perfect for this cowl, because it rolls on both the starting and ending edges. So you always have a finished looking rolled edge, on the inside. It’s also great for changing the size of the cowl. You can unroll it all the way up to your chin, if you get really cold. Or if you start getting hot, roll it down to a small tube till you cool off. This works well for going from inside to outside and needing to change it up quickly, without removing it.
