Keep hands warm with the Simple Worsted Mittens, a classic mitten design with long ribbed cuffs and a smooth stockinette hand. These practical mittens are an enjoyable project for everyday winter wear or thoughtful handmade gifts.

Worked in the round with worsted-weight yarn and US 6 (4 mm) needles, the pattern features a shaped thumb gusset and an ambidextrous fit—either mitten can be worn on either hand.

I used Cascade 220 Superwash for my pair. Choose a warm wool yarn that meets gauge to make a pair in your favorite color.
