Working as a volunteer doula at UCSD’s Hearts and Hands program I saw a need for more newborn hats to be given out at each birth. When I sent a message to friends asking for donated hats I was almost always asked for a simple pattern for the size needed. Not finding exactly what I was looking for to show to my hat donors I decided to write up something simple myself.

In this pattern you will find two different versions of hats to make for those sweet new babies coming home from the hospital. The mommas in our program absolutely adore the hats we give them. A special reminder of the love and care we share with them on the day their child is born.

If you are interested in a making hats to donate to the Hearts and Hands program please message me for more information. We can always use new fun hats!
